Sant Nandlal Smriti Vidya Mandir
Sant Nandlal Smriti Vidya Mandir is a modern progressive school which is committed to holistic development and growth of its students. It fosters a learning environment through knowledge, confidence, compassion and joy. The school atmosphere resonates with positivity, love and bliss congenial for learning and teaching.
The school was established in 1986 by Shree Satsang Sadan, Kolkata which is a registered Women's society engaged in imparting benevolent ideals for the attainment of peace and tranquility. It runs on the pious views of Gurudev Sant Nandlal who was an ideal teacher for his students and an omnipresent source of inspiration to all his disciples. Gurudev believed in imparting moral and cultural values among all, supported by Modern Education System. He believed that only true knowledge could make man free and complete. With this vision, Smt. Panna Devi Gupta, also known as “Taiji” a true disciple of Sant Nandlal, founded this school.
The serene and sprawling campus houses three blocks–the primary, secondary and senior secondary wings.
In the primary wing, the students are nurtured through play and creative activities. The Mother Teacher brings out the hidden talents of the students, develops their life skills, leadership qualities through diverse learning strategies and motivation. Inculcation of moral values is one of the top priorities. Play centric activities promote major domains of development like social and, language, cognitive, sensory and motor development.
The senior wing comprising of Std VI – XII follows a dynamic and systematic method of Integrated Learning which is intricately monitored by the Principal and the members of School Management Committee fostering Holistic Development of the students. Along with academics, physical, mental, emotional, social and ethical development of the student is given utmost importance.
The school offers opportunities to students to unfold their latent talents to their fullest potential. Students get good platform in the field of vocal music, instrumental music, dance, drama, yoga and sports. Training on survival skills, regular Career and emotional Counselling sessions are an integral part of school calendar.
The state of art fully equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer create a conducive atmosphere for all-inclusive growth of the students. The library with its vast collection of books, is a centre of enlightenment igniting the young minds to be enriched by pursuing knowledge.
